Simple terms for a simple service.

By accessing or using langsany.com (the “Service”), operated by LangsAny (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.

LangsAny is a free, browser-based translation tool. Translation is performed locally on your device using open-source neural machine translation models, or — where available — your browser's built-in on-device translation AI. No account is required and there are no usage fees or character limits.

The Service is supported by third-party advertising displayed on the website.

To translate, your browser downloads open-source translation models (typically 50–120 MB per language pair) and caches them locally so translation works offline. A service worker also caches the site's pages and assets so langsany.com opens without a connection. By using the Service you accept this local storage use. You stay in control:

• Downloaded models can be viewed and deleted at any time via the settings icon in the header.
• Clearing your browser's site data removes all models and preferences.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent the security of the website
• Scrape, resell, or systematically redistribute the Service or its assets as your own offering

Since translation runs on your own device, what you translate is your business — and your responsibility.

Machine translation is imperfect. Output is provided “as is”, may contain errors, and quality varies by language pair and text type. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, or other high-stakes decisions — have important translations reviewed by a qualified human translator.

• Your text is yours. We claim no rights over anything you translate — we never even receive it.
• The website — its design, branding, and content — belongs to LangsAny and may not be copied or reused without permission.
• The translation models are open-source works by third parties (e.g. the Helsinki-NLP Opus-MT project) and remain governed by their respective licenses.

The Service displays advertisements from third-party ad networks. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites they link to. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Model downloads depend on third-party CDNs; browser built-in translation depends on your browser vendor. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LangsAny shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including losses arising from translation errors, data loss, or inability to use the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
